Housed in the Old Bishop’s Palace, the museum’s oak-panelled Chapel, Main Hall and Library are ideal for capturing scenes rich in heritage and character. The Museum has featured on screen in programmes as diverse as Britain's Lost Masterpieces, Bargain Hunt, and the hit drama series Yr Amgueddfa (with the museum taking a starring role!) Booking with us also means you'll be supporting the important work of CofGâr in preserving, presenting, and progressing the Carmarthenshire story. Our story is the story of Wales, from farming to folklore, and from mining to motoring.

 

Income from filming and photography hire is vital for us. Our generous support from Carmarthenshire County Council helps us preserve your heritage. But we cannot promote your heritage through learning and events programmes without your support. The more that you support us with bookings, the more that we can tell the Carmarthenshire story to the world, and inspire our next inventors and shape our next storytellers.


To book a space, head to the Carmarthenshire County Council website, where you can enter your details and requirements to the application for permission form. The Council's Marketing and Media team will be in touch to make initial arrangements, after which they'll hand you over to the CofGâr team to finalise practicalities.
