Purpose
To bring joy to community groups, residential care settings and luncheon clubs and create meaningful connections with individuals and communities.
Volunteer Tasks
Source and compile diverse items for memory boxes
Organise and curate memory boxes tailored for different communities
Promote the significance of memory boxes
Deliver engaging reminiscence sessions both within the museum and at community locations (if desired)
Create safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for participants
Gather feedback to continually improve the service
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for people who are passionate advocates;
passionate about preserving memories and the positive impact reminiscence can have on individuals and their communities;
have a knack for sourcing and curating items that evoke memories;
are enthusiastic about connecting with diverse community groups;
are compassionate facilitators who can create a warm and inclusive atmosphere.

Training and Support
A comprehensive induction and ongoing support from staff and other volunteers will be available.
