Visitor Experience Volunteers

Are you passionate about history, art and culture, and eager to share your enthusiasm with diverse audiences?

Purpose

To inspire visitors and enhance their museum experience.

Volunteer Tasks

Guide and inform visitors, ensuring an enriching and enjoyable experience

 

Interpret exhibitions and collections, answering queries and giving directional guidance

 

Guide tours and deliver talks if desired

 

Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere

 

Ensure visitor areas are clean and presentable

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for people who...

 

enjoy engaging with diverse audiences;

 

have a genuine interest in museums, art, history or cultural exhibits and enjoy sharing their enthusiasm with others;

 

have a friendly and approachable manner with a focus on providing exceptional customer service to enhance the overall visitor experience;

 

have an eagerness to expand their knowledge on the museum’s collections;

 

and an understanding and commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all visitors.

Commitment

Flexible – No minimum commitment.

 

Preferably Thursday – Sunday 11am-3pm.

Training and Support

A comprehensive induction and ongoing support from staff and other volunteers will be available.
