Visitor Viewpoint Volunteers - Dylan Thomas Boathouse

Help us refresh the Dylan Thomas Boathouse and improve access – join us on an important step of this exciting journey.

Purpose

Dylan Thomas Boathouse is working towards becoming an accredited museum. Listening to visitors and finding out what people think and feel about the museum is the beginning of this exciting journey. Understanding what visitors expect, need, and want will help shape everything at the museum.

What people tell us helps to identify the important stories we tell, the events and activities we put on, the changes to make, and even what we sell in the shop and café.

Volunteer Tasks

You will invite a small selection of visitors at random to take part in a short face-to-face interview about their visit.

Using a pre-prepared questionnaire, you will ask visitors for their comments.

Listening carefully, you will note down accurately the key information visitors tell you.

You will use a laptop provided to enter the interview outcomes on to a Google form.
