The Portable Antiquities Scheme has protected Welsh archaeology for the past twenty-five years. Since 1999, PAS Cymru has recorded over 90,000 artefacts. Without PAS Cymru, information about these treasures might have been lost forever.
This exhibition celebrates the work of the Portable Antiquities Scheme in Wales. Some of the archaeological treasures saved by the scheme are displayed here.
The artefacts are also a legacy of the partnerships made between archaeologists, museums, and metal detectorists.
25 Years of Treasures showcases the positive consequences of archaeologists and metal detectorists working together.
