Babs at the Museum of Land Speed
From 31 March to 29 September, the legendary race car Babs will be on display at the Museum of Land Speed, thanks to the kind support of the Babs Trust.
What makes Babs so special?
- In 1926, Welsh racing driver J.G. Parry-Thomas set a world land speed record – twice! – right here on Pendine Sands.
- Tragically, the following year, he lost his life trying to reclaim the title.
- After the accident, Babs was buried beneath the dunes for 40 years before being carefully restored.
