Make an Electric Car
Make an Electric Car
This summer half-term, join us at the Museum of Land Speed for a hands-on activity that combines creativity, engineering, and sustainability. In this exciting workshop, you can make your very own electric vehicle using recycled materials and simple robotics.
During the session, you will learn how to design and assemble a wheeled vehicle from everyday recyclable items. Once the basic structure is built, you’ll add a robotics kit to power it up—turning your creation into a fully functioning electric vehicle. At the end of the session, you can test your vehicles and take them home as a lasting memento of your innovation!
This activity is ideal for children aged seven and up, and encourages exploration of key STEM principles in a fun and engaging way. It’s a great opportunity for young minds to get hands-on experience with basic engineering and robotics while learning about the importance of reuse and sustainability.
The workshop will run twice on 28 May, from 11am–1pm and again from 2pm–4pm. No booking is required and the activity is included in the cost of museum admission. Spaces are limited to 16 participants per session.
