Mystery at the Museum
Step into the shadows at Carmarthenshire Museum this half-term for Mystery at the Museum. Solve spooky clues, uncover the missing Yellow Book of Abergwili, and help banish restless spirits. Two sessions on 28 October, tickets £8.50, pre-booking essential.
Mystery at the Museum Returns!
Back by popular demand this October half-term, Mystery at the Museum invites you to step into the eerie atmosphere of Carmarthenshire Museum after hours. Ghosts and spirits have once again taken over the historic building, and only you can help restore peace.
The legendary Yellow Book of Abergwili, long believed to protect the museum from the spirit world, has mysteriously vanished. A mischievous culprit has left a trail of clues hidden throughout the museum. Your challenge is to follow the trail, solve the puzzles, and uncover the truth before it’s too late. With courage and teamwork, perhaps you’ll succeed in returning the Yellow Book and banishing the restless spirits once more.
This immersive experience is suitable for children aged 11+ (younger children may attend at parents’ discretion). All children must be accompanied by an adult. To heighten the suspense, the museum will be atmospherically lit – we recommend bringing a torch to help you explore from the car park and around the galleries.
There are two sessions on 28 October at 5:15pm and 6:45pm, each lasting around an hour. Spaces are limited to 30 per session, so advance booking is essential. Carers go free (but please let us know in advance if a carer will be coming).
