Rock Pool Dipping
Rock Pool Dipping
Discover the hidden wonders of the seashore with our brand-new Rock Pool Dipping activity, launching this Easter at the Museum of Land Speed. Perfect for families, nature-lovers, and curious young explorers, this hands-on experience invites you to uncover the fascinating marine life living just beyond the museum.
For a £5 refundable deposit, visitors can borrow a bucket, net, magnifying glass, and an easy-to-follow information sheet to help identify the creatures and plants you find. Whether it’s tiny crabs, starfish, sea anemones, or slippery seaweed, every dip is a chance to discover something new.
Once you’ve finished your exploration, return your equipment to the museum and receive a special sticker as a reward for taking part. This self-guided activity is available daily during museum opening hours, starting from the Easter holidays and continuing throughout the season.
Rock pool dipping is a fantastic way to engage with nature, learn about local wildlife, and enjoy time outdoors with friends and family.
No booking is required – just visit the museum, pick up your kit, and start exploring the shoreline.
